Music is a language which I use to convey my thoughts and emotions. Although I grew up listening to pop music, the Sheng was the instrument which got me crazy about Chinese orchestral/folk music when I was a teenager, and I spent most of my free time with the Sheng! I bought my first Sheng in 1994 and that was the starting point where I started to collect various Shengs, followed by other woodwind instruments.
